We have created a data-publishing software system to make the process as fast and easy as possible for you. Once you are a TerevakaDC member, all you have to do is e-mail your Excel data to dcterevaka.net to get started. If you would like to include other media in your database (photos, maps, pdf, etc.), you can attach those by e-mail too, or mail large amounts of information on CD or DVD.

Our software solutions are flexible, and we want to help you post your data in a dynamic, informative, and creative manner. We do, however, recommend the following:

Data should be submitted in either Excel format (.xls) or in Shapefile format (.shp, .shx., .dbf). We may be able to accommodate other formats, so don't be afraid to ask.
Data in Excel format must refer to geographic points. Please provide the most precise geographic coordinates possible for each point. We recommend decimal degrees format, but we also accept UTM (Zone, Easting, Northing) and degrees/minutes/seconds.
To publish data containing lines or polygons (rather than points), please submit your data in Shapefile format (.shp, .shx, .dbf).

If you have specific requests as far as the online layout or organization of your data, please let us know ahead of time. Otherwise, we will do our best to organize your data for publicaition purposes. Please be advised that during the peer-review process, data that is found to be erroneous, extraneous, or otherwise problematic may be omitted from the final online presentation.
