ANT 104: SITES QUIZ (SQ) ASSIGNMENT
  • Each week, you must submit two SITES QUIZZES (SQ) online... one BEFORE midnight Tuesday and one BEFORE midnight on Friday (see our Deadline Calendar).

  • The SQ will normally be composed of 6 multiple-choice questions and a few more open-ended short answer questions.

  • The multiple-choice questions will include:

    • four questions regarding the WHO? WHERE? WHEN? and/or WHY? topics for the three or four sites/cultures featured during that week (4 pts each);

    • one question that will require you to identify a characteristic image pertaining to one of the three or four sites (2 pts); and

    • one question that will require you to identify contextual geographical information on a regional or world map (2 pts).

  • Points will be deducted on SQs for any incorrect answers on multiple choice questions.

  • Points will be deducted on SQs for any short answer questions where students fail to follow instructions or offer incomplete answers (for example, failing to construct complete sentences when required).

  • You are NOT ALLOWED TO COMMUNICATE with any other people (inside or outside of class) regarding SQ questions. Any apparent violation of this rule will result in a thorough investigation of your academic misconduct. Otherwise, you are allowed to use any resources you'd like on each Quiz.

  • Each SQ is worth 25 points. Your top 10 DQ scores (out of 11) will count as 50% of your final grade.

  • Links to the SQs will be provided on our class homepage each week.
